A new balanced horizontal flue will be fitted from the boiler through the wall/roof and terminated externally.

Electrical works

Allowance has been made for wiring the controls on the boiler and to the controls mentioned above.

The mains supply to the boiler and controls will be taken from an adjacent point with all wiring hidden where possible, otherwise run on the surface of adjacent walls

No allowance has a been made for service cross bonding which may be required in the house. If this is not present our electrician will advise you.

Gas Service

The gas service will be taken from the existing 22mm supply and connected to the control valve on the boiler.

System Clean

To meet the current building regulations and conditions of the boilers warranty the heating system needs to be flushed out in accordance to BS7593.

This is because the heat exchangers in the new boiler are a lot smaller and can be prone to damage from sediment from radiators.

To ensure we remove as much sediment from the sytem as possible we ude a power flushing machine with the aid of Frenox cleaner.

This is a long process as each radiator is separately power flushed until the water running through the cleaner is clean.

To improve the process, we also agitate the sediment by quickly altering the direction of water flowing through the system and use a rubber mallets or mechanical agitator or magnetic roller on the radiators.

On completion of the works the use of the controls will be demonstrated and a handover pack will be issued with all relevant documentation require to sustained a health system

Testing and Commissioning

On completion of the works the use of the controls will be demonstrated and a handover pack will be issued with all relevant documentation require to sustained a health system

Protection

Throughout the duration of the works we will install full carpet/flooring protection to all works areas and access routes with the addition on dust sheets where appropriate.

All works areas will be left clean and tidy upon each day’s work and we will endeavour to keep dust levels to a minimum throughout
